Reconciliation Specialist
Regis Corporation (NYSE:RGS) is the beauty industry’s global leader in beauty salons, hair restoration centers and cosmetology education. Regis’ corporate and franchised locations operate under concepts such as Supercuts, Sassoon Salon, Regis Salons, MasterCuts, SmartStyle, Cost Cutters, Trade Secret, PureBeauty, BeautyFirst and Hair Club for Men and Women. In addition, Regis maintains an ownership interest in Provalliance, which operates salons primarily in Europe, under the brands of Jean Louis David, Franck Provost and Saint Algue. Regis also maintains ownership interests in Empire Education Group and various other salon concepts such as Cool Cuts 4 Kids and the MY Style concepts in Japan. System-wide, these and other concepts are located in the U.S. and in over 30 other countries in North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Regis also maintains a 49 percent ownership interest in Intelligent Nutrients, a business that provides a wide variety of certified organic products for health and beauty.
RECONCILIATION SPECIALIST
Position Summary:
Perform daily reconciliation and management of consolidated salon bank accounts.
Responsibilities:
· Perform daily bank reconciliations using automated reconciliation program (Reconnet).
· Perform monthly reconciliations of assigned accounts in Reconnet.
· Produce monthly journal entries.
· Reconcile monthly manual bank reconciliations.
· Sort large volume of bank statements & misc. bank mail.
· Research and resolve discrepancies and log items into HEAT issue software.
Requirements:
· Minimum of two-year accounting degree is required and one year related work experience preferred
· Written and oral communication skills are required; employee must be able to communicate effectively over the telephone
· Ability to work with basic and statistical mathematical concepts
· Analytical and problem solving skills required
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit extended periods of time, and use their hands for data entry and other general office duties
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access; working knowledge of automated accounting systems preferred
