Nurse Manager-
1. Orientate all new and old staff on clinic’s policies and guidelines. Maintain document files, of such.
2. Supervise and evaluate all medical support within the corporation, including but not limited to Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, Healthcare Coordinators, etc.
3. Assist in the development of policy and procedure manuals and guidelines for clinical department.
4. Inventory and facilitate the ordering of all medications and supplies.
5. Maintain a listing of all clinical equipment i.e., crash cart, GYN procedure, pelvic, eye, biopsy etc.
6. Instruct and assign appropriate staff on the use, cleaning and storage of equipment.
7. Develop and maintain the safety and health management plan, which addresses safety, security, hazardous material, emergency preparedness, medical equipment and utility systems.
8. Collaborate with physicians in managing the acute and long term medical needs of patients.
9. Monitor and log all injections. Affirm that all medications are in a secure, locked environment.
10. Instruct staff on safety an universal precautions, i.e. injections, lifting patients, etc.
11. Facilitate a duty roster, based upon clinic’s needs, in conjunction with employee/physician work schedule.
12. Develop procedure manuals and guidelines for clinical policies and procedures. Order reference books and procedural manuals to keep current on new guidelines.
13. Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures, suturing minor lacerations and administering medications and injections under a physicians direction.
14. Keep patient records, charts and other pertinent information, posting testing and examination results.
15. Make periodic inspections of exam rooms for cleanliness and stock.
16. Conduct on going health care and clinical management of stable, chronically ill clients.
17. Attend seminars, training sessions and in-services, as needed.
18. Prepare daily reports as requested by the Chief Medical Officer and/or President/CEO.
19. Participate in the clinic’s Quality Improvement Committee.
