Executive Staff Assistant

DHFS EXECUTIVE STAFF ASSISTANT Division of Health Care Access and Accountability The Department of Health Services (DHS)/ Division of Health Care Access and Accountability (DHCAA) is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Executive Staff Assistant. This position is independently responsible for administrative support to the Division Administrator. Primary duties include coordinating the daily itinerary; scheduling appointments, meetings, and conferences; making travel arrangements and preparing itineraries and travel vouchers; providing support for major division-wide activities including the training/travel system and board/committee membership. This position also prepares materials for briefing executive management and for various meetings; communicates Administrator and Deputy Administrator?s decisions and instructions to managers; is a liaison between the Administrator and Deputy Administrator and department executives, division managers, state and federal agencies, media, legislators, Governor?s office, and advocacy groups. This position has direct contact with department executives and administrative personnel in other divisions, and considerable interaction with Bureau Directors and other division staff, and requires knowledge of the programs and interrelationships within the Bureaus within the Division, other Divisions, and the Department. Other duties include proofreading and editing correspondence and participating in Division management meetings. The starting salary is $34,598 with eligibility to the State of Wisconsin?s excellent benefit and retirement plans. This position is located in Madison, WI.
