Business Intelligence Developer

Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: IT/Software Development Business Intelligence Developer Our client is looking for highly motivated professionals in Microsoft Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing who have a proven track record of success and leadership. The position requires a broad range of skills and the ability to step in to different roles depending on the size and scope of the application. The qualified candidate would have proven experience developing successful Microsoft based Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse solutions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Daily activities will include collaboration with members of the BI Development team as well as related teams in order to establish clear direction and execution against application architecture across various projects within the company’s environment.2. Resolves integration issues between different components of the Data Warehouse solution architecture.3. Identifies the business and technical metadata required to support the Data Warehousing environment.4. Creation of Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) solutions using SQL Server Integration (SSIS) is essential.5. Develops the conceptual design, creating a model that is independent of a technology and its techniques.6. Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:1. Bachelors degree in related area required. Minimum of four years prior experience working with BI solutions using the Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence Platform, including extensive SQL RDBMS experience.2. This position will need to understand all the various components of Data Warehousing (ETL, MDX, Analysis, Large Data Bases, OLAP, and Reporting Services).3. Strong skills in the Business Dimensional lifecycle (Kimball Methodology) and Corporate Performance Management and can recommend alternative solution architectures to address the business requirements.4. Strong communication skills with the ability to actively listen, probe, facilitate change management and influence others are required.
