Vice President of Career Developmental Services

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

To manage the Career Development Services Department in a fiscally responsible manner achieving revenues to substantially offset expenses.

 

To plan, organize, implement and monitor services designed to assist individual program participants in the achievement of the maximum vocational potential.

 

To establish positive relationships with clients and employees to successfully implement Goodwill’s mission services.

   

To coordinate with the Career Development Services Staff to establish and implement appropriate services for the clientele of Goodwill Industries.

 

To represent Goodwill in a professional manner to reflect values and standards of its mission and goals.

 

To assist in developing a cooperative effort among all departments for good working relationships and achievement of agency objectives.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1. To develop, implement and monitor an annual business operating plan, including revenue and program grants, for the Career Development Services Department with clear and quantifiable objectives for each program.

2. To develop and maintain positive, productive relationships with a broad spectrum of educational, governmental and social service agencies.  Identifies desirable partners and works to develop such partnerships.

3. To establish, maintain, and improve Career Development Services benchmark.

4. To work in harmony with all divisional executives to be sure the overall agency objectives are met.

5. To develop, implement and monitor an effective outcome measurement system, which is used to improve program efficiency and effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

6. To be directly responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, development, monitoring, review and release of personnel within the Career Development Services department and insure achievement of plan.

7. To operate within compliance of CARF standards.

8. To prepare the agency for the CARF accreditation.

9. To be responsible for the planning and implementation of a marketing effort designed to maximize program utilization in cooperation with the Marketing department.

10. To maintain relationships with other community organizations, government, and others deemed desirable or necessary to conform to the overall objectives and policies of Goodwill Industries.

11. To maintain statewide DDSN requirements.

 

Education:  Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Management, Rehabilitative Counseling, or related field. Exceptional supervisory experience in a Vocational Rehabilitation Facility with a Bachelor's Degree may be considered in lieu of Master’s Degree.

 

Work Experience:  Minimum of 5 years in progressively responsible management and effective leadership experience. Experience in working with disabled and disadvantaged people.
