GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
To effectively maintain a strong work ethic to manage a high volume retail variety store.
To encourage and promote a mutual employee/customer/donor relationship which enhances the profitability of the Company.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To lead the development and operation of the assigned store to maximize retail market share and donations in compliance with the annual operating budget.
2. To supervise employees and trainees in the day-to-day operations of retail variety store.
3. To hire, train, and supervise retail team members to ensure individual store retail, sales and processing goals are met.
4. To accurately operate the cash register, to include validating methods of payment (i.e. cash, check, money orders, gift certificates or charge card purchases) to validate register tapes, to balance and count down cash drawers and make daily bank deposits.
5. To successfully maintain weekly schedules, reconciliation of daily sales receipts, and prepare daily reports accurately and timely.
6. To maintain merchandising displays, train and supervise employees engaged in and/or performing sales work.
7. To coordinate sales promotion activities.
8. To process, stock, merchandise, colorize, size, tag, barb and date merchandise. Order merchandise and supplies.
9. To perform general housekeeping, custodial and janitorial duties as may be scheduled and assigned.
10. To ensure compliance with established Goodwill policies and procedures.
11. To implement and comply with the requirements outlined in the managers expectations document.
12. To attend all managers meetings as scheduled.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Prefer Bachelor's degree.
Work Experience: Five years retail management experience required. Must have exemplary management skills that include planning, organizing, scheduling, directing, merchandising, training, recruiting and customer service.
