Attached is the job description for the Maintenance Helper, this position will be reponsible to assist in any of these areas. General maintenance, set-up, tear down, general repairs of three buildings and a growing campus. This position is working for a church. You will be required to work some occassionally on the weekend. This is an hourly paid position.
Janitorial: There are two custodial employees who assist with this.
- Make sure facilities are clean and prepared for every event planned or not planned, especially the restrooms.
- Make sure to review scheduled events and pre-clean before the event and arrange for clean up after the event to make sure the facilities are ready for use.
- Keep Janitor closets in stock and clean with all paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, cleaners, brooms, mops, trash bags, vacuums, and etc.
- Maintain supplies inventory for campus ensuring needs are well stocked. This includes paper goods for kitchen, restrooms, first aid and planning for major events requiring kitchen use.
- In absence of manager, you may supervise the clean up crew and keep them a schedule and make sure everything is done correctly.
Maintenance:
- Repair general maintenance items.
- Keep on hand all tools needed to do a job and keep track of them.
- Keep all light and light bulbs replaced and working.
- Make sure all keys are marked in the master key box and in order.
Kitchen:
- Make sure the kitchen is stocked with cups, bowls, plates, paper towels soap, plastic ware, and etc.
- Make sure the kitchen is clean, especially after it has been used.
- Keep everything working and maintained.
- Make sure the table clothes are cleaned and taken care of for every event that needs them.
- Keep track of the stocked supplies and budget for this.
Preventive Maintenance
-Change HVAC filters
-Cleaning on equipment in kitchen
-Maintaining controls for freezers, etc.
-Lock up and opening of campus.
-Monitoring of HVAC progrmamable thermostats.
