Currently, Wesley Spectrum is seeking a highly motivated HR Consultant/Generalist to support service locations that are primarily located in the Wilkinsburg/Eastern Pittsburgh area. This individual will provide direct human resources support and expertise in all areas of HR, such as employee relations, performance management, coaching, staffing, HR administration and training. Viewed as a strategic partner, member of line management staff, and team member of the HR department, this position reports to the Director of Human Resources with principle responsibilities that include the following.
Job Description
Partner with business unit supervisors to effectively assess and respond to human resources and developmental needs to achieve organizational objectives, while building and sustaining a culture of service excellence and employee engagement.
Drive organizational development and initiatives. Analyze situations or data, conduct research and obtain outside resources when necessary to make appropriate recommendations to business unit management regarding unit organizational performance, human resources, and related areas.
Provide support and guidance to business units to ensure consistent, equal and fair treatment of their employees.
Manage employee relations issues (including unlawful harassment, performance plans, employee conduct, and performance issues) and consult with employees and managers to analyze root causes of barriers to optimal performance and problem solve for solutions.
Provide guidance to business units or corporate policies and practices, including total rewards/compensation policies and practices.
Work with business unit management to identify current and future staffing needs. Provide guidance to supervisors in the development of job descriptions.
Oversee HR processes and transactions to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Participate in the development and support the implementation of corporate policies and practices.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelors Human Resources or related business/organizational development field
· 5+ years experience in human resources, including employee relations
· PHR Certification preferred Act 33/34 and FBI clearances
Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesDemonstrated customer-service orientation and commitment to service quality
· Knowledge of employment laws and legal implications of the employment relationship
· Excellent communications skills, verbal and written Ability to partner effectively with all levels of staff and management
· Demonstrated ability to identify and problem-solve issues
· Organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively
· Ability to contribute in a team-based department
· Ability to travel locally to visit various job locations
