Executive Director
Norfolk Senior Center, a not-for-profit corporation now trading as Primeplus, is seeking a dynamic, innovative Executive Director to lead and direct a 20+ member staff in implementing the Center’s mission to become the focal point for services, activities and information addressing the needs and interests of older adults in South Hampton Roads. Last year more than 3,000 individuals participated in Center programs and services.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred). The most successful candidate will have experience in management in a not-for-profit organization and strong interpersonal and public relation skills.
Key responsibilities are to: identify priority needs of the elderly and oversee services to meet these needs; provide effective management, staff development and supervision; assure compliance with Center policies, procedures and government regulations; oversee the marketing services; research opportunities for donations; fund-raising; and applying for grants.
