Education Director

 

Children’s Museum of Brownsville celebrates childhood with the joy of learningby providing an interactive, hands-on environment that inspires learning and encourages self-directed motivation.

 

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Plans and implements programs for children such as hands-on activities and parent-child workshops on a variety of topics; assists with curriculum development, program evaluation and exhibit development; serves as museum supervisor; assists in grant writing and contacting potential donors or sponsors.



The Education Director will establish and reinforce the museum’s position as

an essential community resource for early learning.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, or related field required.

Must have professional, friendly, patient and enthusiastic manner;

strong written and verbal communication skills;

computer literate; bilingual preferred.

Must have experience working with young children.

Museum or teaching experience preferred.

 

Salary commensurate with experience.
