Corporate and Foundation Development Associate with the Dallas Symphony!

Join the Dallas Symphony Association in an exciting role as Corporate and Foundation Development Associate!  This position is primarily responsible for helping the corporate and foundation team achieve its annual fund goals by assisting corporations and foundations maximize their investments through benefit fulfillment, excellence in stewardship, and strategic cultivation practices.

To this end, specific responsibilities in partner stewardship include executing strategy with the objective of providing an excellent stewardship experience to drive renewals; managing partner benefits to ensure corporate team meets its commitments to its partners and sponsors, as promised in proposal agreements; tracking benefit fulfillment through the season and keeping prospect managers advised of status; planning and coordinating events associated with a corporate partnership or sponsorship e.g pre-concert receptions, back-stage tours and stage remarks, meet-and-greets, and other special events; attending events with the partner/sponsor and following through to ensure the experience meets their expectations; managing processes related to pledges, gifts, and payments.  In addition to these general stewardship responsibilities, this position also takes the lead on corporate and foundation website strategy, serves as database contact for the Corporate fundraising segment, assists in the renewal of corporate partner and sponsorship renewals, and aids in reporting those results as needed in grant applications. 

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and minimum two years experience in account management, marketing, development, fundraising, or related field.  The selected candidate will have a professional and mature demeanor and will be articulate in speech and writing, detail-oriented, and passionate about developing strong customer relationships.  Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and website management is required as is the ability to learn our customized database.

As a member of the development team, regular concert duty hours are required for this position, as is occasional attendance at special donor events.
