Coordinator - International Epidemiology
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is a premier center for research and treatment of potentially fatal childhood diseases, including cancer and certain blood, genetic, and immunodeficiency disorders. The hospital's mission is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Currently, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an opening for a Coordinator - International Epidemiology (Job Number 16681).
The Coordinator - International Epidemiology is responsible for and participates in the planning, management and outcome evaluation of assigned infection control/infectious diseases projects at international sites, specifically at St. Jude partner institutions that work with the Infectious Disease - International Outreach Program. The incumbent provides initial site evaluations. The Coordinator also plans, implements and evaluates short and long term outcomes of initiatives for best infection care, prevention and control at international sites. The incumbent also abstracts, assembles and organizes epidemiological research data while evaluating baseline situations and outcomes of implemented initiatives and supervises the implementation of research protocols at St. Jude and international sites. Additionally, the Coordinator develops health professional education materials in infection control and protocol-specific tools, with particular focus on data collection for outcome evaluation, including costs, of implemented projects.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree is required
• Master's degree in a healthcare related field is preferred
• 5 years of healthcare experience that includes 2 years in epidemiology and/or infection control is required
• Spanish fluency is strongly preferred
• Supervisory experience is preferred
• Experience in database design and implementation is preferred
