JOB OPENING

 

TITLE:  Clerk Typist ‑ LTCO

 

DEFINITION:  Under the supervision of the Care Management Supervisor, is responsible for duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  High School diploma or equivalent with courses in typing and business English.  Minimum of one-year experience in an office environment typing letters, memos and miscellaneous correspondence.  Typing speed of at least 40 wpm, and excellent grammatical and word processing skills required.  Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills required.  Experience using the Dictaphone and second language abilities preferred.

 

DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

a.   Provides secretarial and clerical support to department staff.

 

b. Type letters, forms, reports, memos, minutes, etc., from rough draft, corrected copy and Dictaphone.

 

c.  Organizes and maintains case files.

 

d. Transfers and collates statistical data.  Using a model generates new forms for data collection and reporting as needed.

 

e.  Keeps track of appointments of care managers.

 

f.  Enters data into automated client demographic and tracking systems.

 

g.  Answers department phones, greets and directs visitors.

 

h. Performs a variety of related clerical duties as may be assigned.
