BOOKKEEPER AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

BOOKKEEPER AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT THE HOME COURSE – DUPONT, WA The Home Course is a championship golf course owned by the Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA) and Washington State Golf Association (WSGA). It is located in DuPont, Washington (just south of Tacoma and just north of Lacey). The golf course opened in June of 2007. The Home Course 2300 Hoffman Hill Boulevard Dupont, WA www.thehomecourse.com www.thepnga.org www.thewsga.org POSITION: Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant AVAILABLE: Open until filled JOB SUMMARY: Works with the Chief Executive Officer, Director of Golf, and Golf Course Superintendent in administering the financial activities and other of The Home Course. Also provides direct administrative and clerical support for the Chief Executive Officer, Director of Golf, and Golf Course Superintendent. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Administers accounts receivable, accounts payable, and prepares journal entries. • Maintains and administers employee payroll. • Maintains detailed inventory records. • Records depreciation and maintains property and equipment records. • Assists with the preparation of the annual budget; also assists with the preparations of monthly financial statements for Board of Director and Finance Committee meetings. • Prepares and submits tax forms and returns, workers compensation forms, pension contribution forms, and other government documents. • Prepares all necessary applications for employee medical, dental, life and disability insurance and maintains individual group insurance files; administers all necessary employee pension plan activities. • Maintains insurance notebooks and policy renewals for all golf course related coverages. • Prepares all necessary governmental reports. • Assists in maintaining all equipment leases. • Assists in maintaining log of donations and gift card sales. • Distributes announcements and necessary materials in advance of all Committee, Board of Director, and additional necessary meetings. • Coordinates necessary food and beverage needs in conjunction with all Committee, Board of Director, and additional meetings. • Provides administrative support, including answering telephones, filing, copying, and preparation of correspondence. • Performs other duties as directed by the CEO, Director of Golf and Golf Course Superintendent. • Office Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience – Bachelor’s degree preferred with formal bookkeeping training and experience, as well as accounting and budgeting training. Knowledge and abilities – The position requires management and budgeting background, proficiency in QuickBooks, Windows personal computer systems (Word, Excel, Access, etc.), with an emphasis on word processing, spread sheets, and database accounting programs. Other – Must have strong organizational and public relations skills; must be a self-starter and be able to work independently; knowledge of golf is desirable, but not required. COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary range is $38,000 - $45,000.
