Application Analyst

Primary Purpose of Position:
Under the direction of the Systems Administrator, responsible for all installation, configuration and maintenance of all server, application, desktop, network and peripheral systems for the Sundance Institute Ticketing Dept. Responsible for documentation and training of Ticketing Systems end-users.
Duties and Responsibilities:Administer all Ticketing servers (Windows 2003 Standard/Enterprise, MS SQL 2005 Cluster)Administer and maintain Ticketing Application (Titan) software (primary technical liaison between Sundance and ticketing developer).Create documentation and training for Ticketing end-usersDevelop processes and systems to streamline workflowEnsure compatibility/functionality with other IT Systems (i.e. Citrix, Active Directory, Terminal Server).Administer Ticketing website (ensure scalability and performance for public online fulfillment/sales and Ticketing Dept. ticketing responsibilities).Assist with reporting and accounting integration (Blackbaud)Assist with Ticketing mail-blasts systemsDevelop and administer Credential systemsDevelop and administer barcode ticket scanning systemsDesign and deploy networks for box officesDesign and deploy workstation images and ticket printers for all ticketing locations Assist in the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including Cisco switches and routers across multiple LANs and WANs.Perform and monitor system backups and restore using Symantec Backup Exec.Setup and Configure new server hardware and software.Assist in the setup and maintenance of 50+ client workstationsAssist the management of a wide-area-network consisting of 33+ networked locations.Perform Ticketing HelpDesk duties as needed.
Performs other related duties as required.
Education and Experience:
· Employee has legal authorization to work in the United States.
· Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and successful completion of DMV background check required
· Knowledge of modern client/server environments, with specific working knowledge of Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2003 Terminal Server.
· Knowledge of modern server hardware and disk configuration.
· Skills in troubleshooting in a Windows Server 2003 environment.
· Knowledge of modern email systems, SMTP, email gateways, and spam filtering.
· Skills in troubleshooting client operating systems and applications, including Windows XP, and Office 2003.
· Ability to learn and maintain specialized software packages, such as Titan Ticketing, Symantec Backup Exec, and Blackbaud Financial edge accounting software.
Credentials and Experience (established by supervisor)
· 3 years experience working in a Windows network environment or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
· 2 years experience with application support and programming.
· Experience as a Windows Server 2003 administrator.
· Ability to explain complex technical issues and communicate effectively with non-technical staff.
· Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
· Ability to handle and resolve recurring technical problems.
