Trading Assistant
National Bronze & Metals, Inc., a leader in the metals industry, is seeking a Trading Assistant for its Houston, TX Distribution Center.
Job Summary:
The Trading Assistant will prepare all aspects of documentation and work with vendors on metals.
Duties & Responsibilities:Prepare request for quotes (RFQs) to vendorsMonitor vendor responses to RFQsDraft quotes to customersEnter sales work ordersMonitor incoming materialPrepare export documents, i.e. commercial invoices, packing list, Material Test Reports and N.A.F.T.A Certificates of originLiaison with freight forwarders on rates and shipmentsPreparation and delivery of original documents to customersUpdate the data bases for customers, vendors and inquiresGather full details, i.e shipping costs, insurance, fabrication and metal pricing, in order to quote customersQuote ocean or air freight from UTC and/or other freight forwarding companies
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must have general office skills & good communication skillsAbility to multi-taskImport/Export knowledge a plusGood writing skillsExperience in Microsoft Excel & Word a mustBilingual in Spanish is a plusCollege degree or equivalent is a plus
