Team Manager - Infrastructure Data Management

POSITION SPECIFICATION

Summary:

United States Steel Corporation has an immediate opening for a Team Manager - Data Management, located in the the Business Service Center(BSC) organization in Pittsburgh, PA. The successful candidate will be part of the Application Support Services/ Infrastructure Department and will be responsible for all database administration

Major Responsibilities: Act as a key contact for the BSC and for the customers utilizing the storage, retrieval and archiving of business data. Manage all database resources and utilities, including database administrators, data utilities and performance software, and data and disaster recovery procedures Project management Cost analysis and budgeting Customer ticket response and resolution Personnel direction and evaluation Monitor business partner and performance metrics

 



CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems related field 3-5 years of database experience in an administrative role Database management/administration experience in Oracle, DB2, IMS and SQL Outstanding database design, deployment and analysis skills Strong leadership, managerial, communications and project management skills Strong understanding of IT application and delivery processes Ability to provide assistance to software and liaison groups Ability to monitor actual and planned usage of databases Ability to establish and enforce standards and procedures
