Shift Manager - Maintenance Cold Roll

POSITION SPECIFICATION Summary:  Shift Manager– Maintenance is responsible for motivating and directing individual team members in the daily operations of the Cold Roll Maintenance area. Key Relationships: Reports to the Process Coordinator Mechanical and Electrical. Directs and leads maintenance and productions crews.   Works closely with the Operations Team and down stream business units Major Responsibilities: Administration of the U. S. Steel safety program to ensure safe work environment. Application of problem solving techniques to evaluate and resolve operational conditions to maximum operating efficiencies. Supervise, direct and coordinate the efforts of the Cold Roll members. Performs administrative activities such as scheduling of crews, completing reports, conducting safety contacts, and other reporting as necessary by the operating facility. This position requires working multiple shifts. Performance Metrics: Establish performance goals and objectives with the Process Coordinators Insure Safe Operation Track up time for the Operations

Job Requirements:
Education: Preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and 3 + years of supervisory experience working in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
