Education/Experience/Knowledge

Education: Experience: Knowledge: 4 year college degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Mine, Civil, or Engineering Management)
Approximately 0-5 years experience.
Strong computer skills, effective communications skills both verbally and written, analytical and problem solving skills, must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, organizational skills, ability to prioritize and plan work, ability to read and interpret prints and specifications, project financial acumen.

Job Purpose
This role provides a single engineering liaison for contact among departments and the corporate office, to drive and track new projects including documentation and follow-up, This position will monitor spending, on-time deliveries and the collection of details for all projects at the manufacturing location. The incumbent will also function as project manager for local projects and apply good engineering principles and practices to insure that projects are designed, constructed, and maintained in a safe, cost effective and timely manner.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop scope of services for contractors, consultants, and local work force for all assigned projects.
• Assembles project team, identifies needed resources, assigns responsibilities and develops timeframes to facilitate successful completion of project activities and deliverables.
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
• Manages project budget
• Minimizes our exposure and risk on projects.
• Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
• Review, track and forecast project time and cost estimates monthly.
• Ensure project requirements are achieved in a timely fashion and within budget guidelines.
• Prepare and conduct project meetings as needed.
• Prepare requisitions for equipment and services as required.
• Perform engineering calculations as required.
• Technical specification review and resolution.
• Recommend new processes where needed for quality improvement, cost reduction, and on-time delivery.
• Evaluate project performance.
• Prepare Authorization for Expense (AFE) documentation utilizing supplier information, cost standards, and technical information available to acquire funding for the project.
• Ensure that project charges are correctly represented for accounting's closing process.
