Process Superintendent - Milling - up to $130K - Relo available
Our client is a leading gold producer with operations on five continents. They are also engaged in the exploration for and acquisition of gold properties in some of the world's best gold districts. In additon, this publicly traded company also mines silver and copper.
They have an exciting opportunity for a high-level Process Superintendent for their facility in Nevada.
Employees in this position are responsible for the functions of the milling facilities. Employees must comply with state and federal safety and health regulations, company policies and procedures, and the company's environmental compliance policy. Employees will perform other duties as directed and needed by the company to ensure optimal safe operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
2. Perform budget and cost control.
3. Maintain compliance with state and federal laws.
4. Directly supervise the General Process Foremen and Process Metallurgists.
5. Assume indirect responsibility for other support departments such as process maintenance, plant metallurgy and operational services groups.
6. Conduct staff and safety meetings.
7. Comment on plant design, production, and process, then initiate changes.
8. Report on department status.
9. Set and maintain metallurgical operations standards.
10. Hold and operate a telephone or radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on conversation for the purpose of communicating with upper management, peers, issuing directives and providing feedback.
11. Hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms.
12. Read, comprehend, interpret and learn Mill Processing literature and technical data, Material Safety Data Sheets, labels on products, warning signs, instructional manuals, and numbers on monitors and gauges, to prevent loss of personnel, property and process.
13. Operate light vehicles including a pre-operational inspection, mounting and dismounting, pushing and pulling levers and knobs and turning the steering wheel for the purpose of accessing various locations of the mine site for inspections and meetings.
14. Walk on rough terrain and climb several flights of stairs each day to access various locations of the mill facilities.
15. Maneuver sufficiently around mill systems for the purpose of inspecting facilities.
16. Possess sufficient night vision to operate during dark hours.
17. Operate a computer.
18. Wear personal protective equipment including hard hat, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, respirators, wet suits, earplugs, gloves, or any other equipment to perform duties safely.
19. Ascend and descend narrow stairs as high as 175 feet to gain access to process machinery to perform work.
20. Have Experience with the following processing operations: Grinding, Copper flotation, leach, CIP, Gravity Concentration
21. Must comply with Nevada and federal health safety codes.
REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent field
6-10 years experience in a milling/processing environment
Will supervise 40 personnel
Have Experience with the following processing operations: Grinding, Copper flotation, leach, CIP, Gravity Concentration
