Process Engineering Manager

This position plans, directs, implements and controls activities of the Capital Project Management System to accomplish overall objectives and to support business strategy.  Directly manages the large capital projects, management of capital tracking system and control of capital project execution. 1.  Develops a Capital Investment Management plan with short and long term objectives consistent with Business Unit guidelines to assure the site attains its annual productivity goals.  Facilitates site leadership teams with developing capital investment budgets and execution of capital investment projects.  Maintains sites rolling 3 year capital plan 2. Consolidates the sites capital spending report on a monthly basis.  Provides updates to local site and BU Leadership team.  Manages capital submittal and approval process to track Approval Request's in the approval process.  Ensures plant site total capital spending remains with in BU budget plan. 3.  Ensures Capital project requests (AR's) are complete and properly reflect the required level of investment to ensure the final end product of the investment is able to achieve the business and technical objectives illustrated in the project justification.  Works with the group EH&S Manager to ensure the finished project will meet all governmental regulatory requirements.  Notifies BU Leadership of all major scope changes on active approved projects.   4. Provides training, coaching and development programs to assist with improvement of operational performance of the sites process equipment.  Establish standard operating procedures for process equipment.  Ensures auditing systems are in place and functional.  5. Supervises Contractors to assure quality of workmanship and adherence to safety procedures. 6. Supports the site's process engineering and maintenance organizations.  Provides training, coaching and development programs to assist with improvement in Process Engineering and Plant Maintenance.   7. Evaluates Sites capacity utilization.  Recommends methods to improve performance of capital equipment.  Maintain capacity vs demand dashboards with study and review.  Direct responsibility to optimize energy efficiency. Qualifying Requirements:· Bachelors Degree (Engineering or related field); Master degree desirable.· Minimum of 5 years of process/project management experience in manufacturing operation environments.· Must be highly motivated, demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills. Strong knowledge of project engineering, project management, ability interface with contractors, vendors and site personnel.  Strong project planning and management processes.
