Our client, a large US coal company, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to support their operations in Wheeling, WV.

Mining Maintenance Superintendent


This position will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance activities at a large coal mine.  The ideal candidate must have over 5 years of maintenance experience and general knowledge of production capabilities and mechanical skills.  You will direct and manage the site mainenance staff to implement best maintenance practices and provide technical expertise to reduce cost and improve process uptime and mechanical reliability. 

The Maintenance Superintendent will assist Operations to troubleshoot and problem solve to eliminate problems or repetitive failures, coordinate all mechanical actitivies for proper, safe execution of mine projects, coordinate with engineering for capital project executions to ensure effective use of capital funds and maintain a competent maintenance staff through selection development and  motivation of subordinates.The ideal candidates should be flexible and open to growth and potential.

Requirements: Must have over 5 years diesel heavy equipment maintenance experience in a supervisory position in mining with responsibility for delivering high quality work on timeGood computer skills including Microsoft Outlook for maintenance reportingExcellent understanding of maintenance work methodsExcellent communication skills



The position offers a competitive compensation of $90,000 - $120,000 (plus bonus) depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
