Our Client, a large mining, processing, and manufacturing operation that provides raw materials for the refractory industry, has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer for Maintenance and Process Engineering.

 

Appropriate experience is found in the Ceramic, Cement, Aggregates, and Mining industries.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

Will be responsible for the condition and preventive maintenance of processing and manufacturing equipment in the Mill and Kiln areas of a large materials processing complex.

 

The Mill areas include large heavy rotating equipment used for crushing, sizing, mixing and blending of coarse ceramic materials.

 

The Kiln areas include large rotary kilns used for the thermal processing of coarse ceramic materials.  Will be responsible for the activites of 20 kiln operators in a 24 / 7 operation.Will be accountable for condition and proper use of kilns and for quality of products. 

 

Qualifications:

 

Successful Candidate will have a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with successful experience as a plant engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment. 

 

Should be knowledgeable in the selection, modification, and maintenance of large rotating equipment, crushers, and kilns, and have an understanding of kiln temperatures and operations. 

 

Experience in cement, mining, or other heavy industry where large rotating equipment is used is highly desirable.

 

Must be a “fast tracker” ready to move up within a profitable and growing organization.
