Inside Sales/Account Manager/Purchasing

My client is a privately held industrial supply distributor with a Distribution Center in northwest Houston, which is experiencing unprecedented growth in that market. They are looking for an experienced Account Manager to handle the daily inside sales and purchasing functions of the branch. 

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

· Provide customer and prospect price quotations, enhancing profit opportunities while balancing customer expectations

· Manage order processing, including obtaining vendor price quotations and tracking and expediting of customer orders

· Manage various customer service programs (bin stocking, blanket orders, JIT, etc.)

· Daily customer service and problem resolution

· Enhance/build the customer relationship, including offering various promotional items

· Seek opportunities to expand business via expanding products purchased and product lines

· Keep outside sales personnel informed of customer issues as appropriate

· Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner

You must be very PC literate, able to retain information and detail oriented.  This is a base salary plus commission position.

Current experience in an industrial distributor, especially one that specializes in Fasteners, is highly desired.
