Field Service Technician

Wellhead or valve experience.

Relocation and sign on bonus available.

Key Skills and Competencies:

1. Must have at least 2 years assembly experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. Previous field service experience installing and repairing heavy manufacturing equipment a plus.

2. Knowledge of Department of Transportation loading and weight distribution requirements.

3. Prior forklift and lifting device operation experience a plus.

4. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

5. Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.

6. Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

7. Must be able to read a key map or street map to locate field equipment.

8. Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts, changing work schedules and available to travel.

9. Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division for the purpose of inventory tracking, cycle counts and other functions related to the position.

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Provide field service and customer support to include, but not limited to, equipment removal, teardown, troubleshoot, evaluate, repair, test and install.

2. Responsible for service reports and related documentation.

3. Must maintain a good driving record as defined by company policy.

4. Responsible for safe operation of vehicle and following all company policies pertaining to the use and maintenance of vehicle.

5. Load and unload material for repair projects.

6. Responsible for properly securing materials in vehicle to limit damage to products when transporting for repair projects.

7. Operates a forklift and lifting devices for movement of parts.

8. Must follow all Department of Transportation regulations and guidelines.

9. Communicates with customer, supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel as it relates to the job.

10. Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area and to follow all safety and field procedures required by the customer.

11. Responsible for keeping equipment clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on company tooling and equipment.

12. Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.

13. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
