Electrical Technician
Electrical Technician, Wheatland Wyoming This position requires pipeline knowledge, experience, and capability to deal with pumpstation/pipeline issues. This person must be a self-motivator and willing to take on a range ofpipeline responsibilities. The job is to maintain a crude oil pipeline keeping it in good, safeoperating condition and in compliance with government regulations. Must be able toaccommodate travel, overtime, and participate in “on-call” rotation as required.Responsibilities Be able to work and communicate safely and effectively with fellow employees, contractors andpublic. Employee will be responsible for maintaining a 4,160 volt main line station equipped witha Variable Frequency Drive, multistage centrifugal pumps, and associated equipment. Will alsohave line segment responsibilities including responding to One-call tickets, Cathodic Protection,and sign maintenance. Employee will be expected to spend a large percentage of their timeassisting the Ft Laramie and Cheyenne Technicians in their duties. Perform documentationrequired by Plains and other regulating agencies as required. Be able to perform other pipelinerelated duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor.Education and Training High School diploma or equivalent. Must have intermediate computer skills and ability togenerate and e-mail correct Plains forms as required. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)knowledge as well as industrial electrical training is desired.Other Qualifications Posses or obtain Operator Qualifications as deemed by the Operations Supervisor.
