District Sales Manager

 

Parts Associates, Inc. is a successful national distributor of industrial maintenance supplies.  We are searching for an experienced, energetic, goal-oriented District Sales Manager.  The Company is based in Ohio with nationwide distribution centers and is proud of its superior customer service as demonstrated in its excellent order fill rate.

Working from a home office, the District Sales Manager will report to the VP of Sales and will be responsible for building his or her sales force to full market coverage, and implementing the Company’s plan to develop business in this geographic market.

 

Key activities of the Sales Manager will include the following:Training and Development of New Sales Reps Work with Veteran Reps to Maximize their Sales Potential Handle Major and National Account contact, (however, the Sales Manager is not directly assigned any individual sales quotas) Administer operational expenses (to cover customer activities, sales awards, team activities etc.)

 

The successful candidate will have a strong and proven track record of successfully recruiting, training, motivating and retaining a sales team: Previous sales management experience required, including experience developing and retaining a successful sales force. Total of at least 10 years work experience including some industrial/commercial distribution Great attitude: can-do, strongly goal-oriented, energetic Derives satisfaction from motivating and leading each individual to perform to their best for the team Excellent interviewing/assessment skills Superior time management skills Strong multi-tasking ability Excellent computer skills (MS Office including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred Road Warrior
