Business Development Manager

Responsible for developing and implementing customer-focused business development programming and tactics to generate demand for and drive sales of RoyOMartin products. Identifies, quantifies and qualifies market demands; calculates the manufacturing economics (feasibility); identifies appropriate channels; and helps coordinate placement. Develops volume and market-share goals by product line and market and tracks performance. Prospects for new product opportunities and placement while maximizing market penetration of existing products.

 

Should have well-developed commercial savvy, balanced with excellent leadership skills to drive organization to attain established objectives. Must be both creative and analytical and possess the capacity to effectively identify and rationalize business opportunities. Strong personal computer skills are essential. Experience in several functional areas (i.e., sales, manufacturing, marketing) is considered an asset. Planning, organizing, integrating, executing and measuring programming results are critical. Outstanding communications and facilitation skills are very important. Appropriate degree plus 5-7 years of marketing/product-management experience desired. Extensive travel may be required.

 

The ideal candidate will have a high level of assertiveness, complemented by an appropriate amount of ego-drive and personal resilience. The individual should be creative and possess good idea orientation. The capability to work independently and urgently is necessary. Outstanding interpersonal skills are fundamental for success.
