Audit Manager -Information Systems

POSITION SPECIFICATION

Summary:

United States Steel Corporation has an immediate opening for an Information Systems (IS) Audit Manager at its headquarters located in Pittsburgh, PA. The Information Systems Audit Manager will supervise the Information Systems Audit function within the Internal Audit Department in providing the company with an independent review and evaluation of controls, security, process and procedures in the IS area, including audits of application systems, systems under development and general information systems controls.

Key Relationships Reports to Director - Audit The successful candidate will interact with all levels of Company employees and management, hardware and software vendors, systems contractors and consultants

Major Responsibilities Develop an appropriate methodology and utilize it in preparing a comprehensive inventory and risk analysis of the Company's information systems Prepare and execute the IS audit plan, which is part of the overall risk-based annual audit plan Develop and maintain effective relationships with IS and other operational areas of the Company Supervise and review work completed by the IS Auditors from initial planning through reports preparation and clearance Provide IS Audit services for special requests from management



CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems is required Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) 8-10 years of auditing experience, including 5 years of IS Auditing Demonstrated knowledge of computer audit techniques, auditing procedures, industry best practices and accounting principles Working knowledge of plant operations and process control computing Excellent oral and written communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

Preferred Requirements: Masters Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems Experience with ERP implementation with specific emphasis on Oracle Technical knowledge and experience with Novell NetWare, Lotus Notes and Oracle Knowledge of Access Controls, Change Controls, Systems Development Life Cycle (SCDLC), Disaster Back-up and Recovery Planning and Computer Operations (both Mainframe and Distributed Systems), across a wide variety of platforms and technologies
