Audit Manager
POSITION SPECIFICATION
Summary:
United States Steel Corporation has an immediate opening for an Audit Manager at the company headquarters, located in Pittsburgh, PA. The Audit Manager will primarily be responsible for the execution and supervision of audit projects performed by a team of staff auditors, ranging in experience from entry to senior level.
Major Responsibilities: Supervise the work performed by a team of staff auditors ensuring audits are properly planned, staffed, executed and reviewed Coordinate the execution of audits within the Audit Plan (includes initial planning, fieldwork, exception clearance and development of agreed upon action plans with auditees, report preparation and issuance) Assist staff, as needed, in defining audit programs and testing procedures that will effectively cover the defined audit scope and achieve the audit objectives Assist Audit Management with risk assessment activities associated with the development of the Audit Plan projects Appraise performance of staff members and provide feedback Assist Audit Management to ensure compliance with IIA professional standards, maintenance of internal quality assurance program and ongoing commitment to continuous improvement
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Minimum Requirements Bachelors Degree required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least five years experience in auditing Minimum of three years of supervisory experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office products Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills Ability to deal with all levels of employees and management within the Company
Preferred Experience: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting preferred Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Teammate software knowledge Knowledge of the steelmaking process
