Maintenance Supervisor

Sterigenics, a world leader in medical device sterilization is currently seeking a detail-oriented, analytical thinker to join our Grand Prairie facility.The Maintenance Supervisor, who reports to the General Manager, is responsible for directing the work of the Maintenance Department within an Ethylene Oxide sterilization plant and ensuring that the facility and all equipment is maintained in excellent repair. The ideal candidate must work hands-on and be able to identify problems; collect data and draw valid conclusions; maintain spare parts and tool inventories to ensure adequate supplies to minimize equipment down time; ensure that both employees and outside contractors understand and adhere to all safety procedures while working in the facility; perform preventative and demand maintenance as required; and assist Plant and Engineering with equipment installation and upgrades. Ideal candidates will possess:Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience with 2 years of supervisory experienceHigh School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experienceLanguage, mathematical and reasoning skills necessary to compute complex measurements and read and comprehend detailed instructions and electrical/mechanical drawingsMust be able to read, write and speak fluent EnglishMust be willing to carry a pager and be available 24/7 in the event of an emergencyMust be medically approved for respirator useMust be able to tolerate exposure to high temperature and high humidity (120 degrees F and 60% RH for 20 minutes)Seeking experience in the following areas of expertise:PurchasingKnowledge of 480 volt 3 Phase powerAbility to read and interpret ladder logic and electrical diagramsElectric motor control trouble-shootingRepair and trouble-shooting of mechanical systemsAbility to operate welding equipment and a cutting torchKnowledge of hand and power tools and their safe useEnjoy our competitive compensation & benefits package that include BlueCross medical/dental, education assistance, matching 401(k), and a casual work environment.
