The Forensic Technology Manager will provide and manage Computer Forensic services including digital evidence preservation, analysis, data recovery, tape recovery, electronic mail extraction, and database examination.
In addition will provide oversight for on-site and internal investigations, act as an advisor on forensic requests and will ensure handling of evidence in accordance with sound chain of custody methods.
The Forensic Technology Manager will provide and manage computer forensic activity in support of among others:
- In-house and audit committee investigations - Preparation for potential future disputes (e.g., technology risk assessments, ESI readiness) - Class action settlements - Regulatory investigations (e.g., fraud, FCPA, antitrust, M&A) - Litigation support for counsel or expert witnesses - Arbitrations or special proceedings- HR InvestigationsAs well, the Forensic Technology Manager will be responsible for creation and support of a secure computer forensic lab and to research, recommend and/or develop required computer forensic tools and methodologies.
Required Skills
Management Skills: The job holder must be able to manage a team of experienced technical staff.
His/her direct reports and staff will be responsible for delivering high quality, on budget, within schedule technology enabled global business solutions as a global shared service.
He/she must have demonstrated technical matrix organization management experience.
Communication & Influencing: The job holder must clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
Teamwork: An individual who can work effectively in a collaborative environment and foster teamwork with their peer group, their local & virtual team colleagues and with employees outside of the GIS function.
Technical Expertise: The job holder must have a background in successful information technology systems associated with their functional area.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- CISSP or related security certification preferred but not required.
- Five or more years of experience in Computer Forensics and technical investigations.
- Thorough understanding of data communications and the concepts, theories, and practices of advanced technologies.
- Mastery of the principles, theories, techniques, practices, and policies and procedures of information security and technical security safeguards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
