JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Extremity Sales Representative will be primarily responsible for becoming the resident expert on Stryker Upper Extremity trauma products for use in the Operating Room environment. This person will also need to meet and exceed sales objectives for the territory utilizing the associated trauma product line. Success will be accomplished by representing Stryker as a leader in the industry and by working with a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons and healthcare professionals.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and implement sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and meet/exceed territory sales objectivesIdentify new prospects and develop appropriate business relationships to advance Stryker business objectivesPerform daily field sales/service calls for the customer in the assigned territory (including "on-call" and operating/emergency room consultation)Assist customers with their respective patient needs 24/7/365, unless other arrangements have been made for another sales representative to provide temporary coverage due to vacation or illnessCross-sell additional products and manage new product introductions as they become available in an effort to help the company launch top products for our customersBe incredibly responsive to all customer needs and identify/resolve all problems/ concerns perceived by the customer with respect to orthopedic upper extremity traumaContinue to support and comply with Corporate Employee policies including but not limited to ethics policies including AdvaMed guidelines adopted by StrykerMaintain the privacy and confidentiality of patient/ hospital information as required by Stryker and/or the respective hospital/ surgery center customersQUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in building and maintaining relationships (with surgeons & hospitals in respective areas would be beneficial)Must be comfortable in emergency/operating room environments.EDUCATION:
BS/BA in relevant field (business or medical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience.Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
