Director of Marketing - Spine

Our client is a diversified orthopaedic products company offering a broad line of minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical products for the spine, orthopaedic reconstruction and trauma, vascular and sports medicine market sectors. The main products are non-invasive stimulation products used to enhance the success rate of spinal fusions and to treat non-union fractures, external and internal fixation devices used in fracture treatment, limb lengthening and bone reconstruction, and bracing products used for ligament injury prevention, pain management and protection of surgical repair to promote faster healing. Our client is seeking a qualified candidate who will manage the activities of the Marketing Department including staffing, budgets, meetings, product development, and assisting in new product introductions.  Responsibilities include: assisting in the development and implementation of the annual marketing business plan as well as the printed materials including advertisements and product brochures; managing the expense budget in addition to the role in all trade shows, exhibits, conventions, and meeting for the Marketing Department; working with the Director of Sales in forecasting sales projections and coordinating training programs; liaison to oversees office on product development and direction for the product line; traveling in the field to cultivate key customers. Successful candidates must have these minimum capabilities to be considered for this position: BS or BA in Marketing; MBA preferred; minimum of 5 years of marketing experience in orthopaedic or spinal implants with exposure to product management required; strong proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing is necessary; excellent communication skills as well as strong interpersonal and teaming skills are crucial;  capacity to demonstrate self motivation, strong organizational skills, and project management skills a must; 50% travel required. Qualified candidates please reference position 1230 when submitting your resume to Tammi at search@lakecitygroup.com or fax 574-371-2535.  Resumes should be in Microsoft Word format in order to be uploaded into our database.  Please visit www.lakecitygroup.com and read our Statement of Confidentiality.  Once you have sent your resume, please complete our Career Planning Guide on our web site.
