Reference Code: IRC130501 Dir Business Development The Director, Business Development has the primary task of supporting the Vice Presidents of Business Development and Corporate Development in aggressively driving analysis and assessment of business opportunities, such as proprietary technologies, novel products and relevant companies, for the purposes of strategic development, licensing, merger or acquisition by KCI.  Qualified individuals will be self-motivated to research, identify and analyze prospects, possess a strong ability to recognize and comprehend competencies and points of leverage that specific transactions engender, present findings to KCI senior management and manage action plans for matters such as additional due diligence and preferred routes of approach, with the ultimate goals of successful transaction execution and integration.  Incumbent will seek to augment or modify strategic frameworks as necessary based on penetrating knowledge of various sectors of the Medical Technology industry and a strong understanding of fundamental business functions.  The Business Development Director will construct and actively lead internal cross-functional teams as needed for support in the investigation and execution of prospective opportunities.  This exceptional individual will be a self-starter who thrives on challenge in a results-driven culture, and a strong communicator who can represent the company as a leader and /or liaison to internal and external business partners.Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business (or related field) and an MBA degree from a well respected/recognized business program 5+ years experience in corporate development, business strategy, investment banking or consulting, demonstrating knowledge of driving deal execution, business analysis, practices and techniquesOther Qualifications:  Capable of deep strategic thinking with very strong quantitative and qualitative analytic abilities and creative problem solving skills Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication, including higher level corporate presentations and group facilitation Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects Knowledge of group dynamics and group process Ability and willingness to travel, to work evenings and occasional weekends
