Work Authorization (WAF) Technician

Knowledgeable about and able to trace and indentify components in mechanical, electrical, piping and other auxiliary systems on naval vessels.

Ability to communicate clearly with ship crews, shipyard engineers and shipyard craft persons about work details.

Ability to process decuments and maintain databases using MS Word and Excel computer programs.

Must be able to climb vertical and horizontal shipboard ladders.

Must be able to work extended hours, including some weekends and possible occasional trips out of the area.

Must be able to obtain a security clearance for confidential material access.
