Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics is currently seeking a talented Vessel Planner for our Savannah, Georgia location.
As a Vessel Planner for Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, you will have responsibility to schedule and plan vessels for optimal cost effectiveness, as well as utilize and dispatch according to WWL quality parameters within area of responsibility. The position will require traveling to attend/assist on working vessels in the ports.
Duties:
Develop Coastal vessel scheduling within region Americas.Pre-plan vessel stowage and coordinate the stowage with vessel, other regions and with the ports in the region.Distribute the pre-plans to ports, next region & vessels, including data for stability calculations.Close cooperation with commercial, customer care and trade dept.Coordinate inquiries and stowage of special cargo.Ensure proper communication with vessels, ports and internally with other departments.Update operational systems such as VOP (scheduling) and SPS (stowage planning).
Competence Requirements:
Maritime graduate with experience working on Ro/Ro vessels, or minimum three years experience of land based cargo and/or stowage planning of Ro/Ro vessels.Fluent in English.Thorough computer knowledge.Excellent communications skills.
