SAFETY COORDINATOR

GALLIANO, LOUISIANA

Marquette Transportation Offshore, located in Galliano, Louisiana, is a high quality operator of near-shore Jones Act tugs and towboats.  Marquette Transportation Offshore operates a fleet of ten blue-water tugs and nine inland towboats.  The Company services major construction companies, dredging operators, diving companies, salvage operations, oilfield services companies, and others looking for towing services throughout the Gulf of Mexico, Eastern Seaboard, Caribbean and Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. Marquette Transportation, a Paducah, Kentucky based provider of transportation services in the Mississippi River system, Gulf Intercoastal waterways, and Gulf of Mexico.  In aggregate, the Marquette fleet totals over 110 tow and tug boats that span a wide horsepower range.

Marquette Transportation Offshore currently has a Safety Coordinator position available. 

Job Responsibility:Coordinate and perform HSE inspections and audits of towing vessels.Coordinate and perform vessel security assessments and audits.Conduct HSE meetings, drills and training aboard towing vessels.Review and tracking of HSE information.Review and tracking of HSE information.Assist with Accident and Incident Investigations.

Requirements:Effective communication in large and small groups.Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office.Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skillsExperience in the Marine towing industry is a plus.Desire to learn
