Position Description:

BASIC Accountability Statement: Responsible for the Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Integration of new product, and Quality Assurance. Duties and Responsibilities:• Lead R & D projects related to adopting new materials and molding technologies for the construction of molded components, while ensuring manufacturability. This will include but not limited to budgeting, scheduling and status reporting.• Drive new project justification process: establish schedules and budgets for tooling development projects.• Pursue continuous improvement regarding the application of advanced molding technologies.• Manages the construction of tooling and prototype molded parts while ensuring they are built to the highest quality standards.• Establish and maintain standards and specifications of all FRP composite related materials and validate new materials to those standards and specs.• Ensure molds and fixtures are designed, built and maintained to facilitate good worker safety and correct ergonomics.• Ensure designs possess the best alternatives for manufacturability.• Develop and maintain accurate documentation of new models.• Manage departmental budgets.• Maintain direct and frequent interface with other Brunswick companies to ensure consistency throughout the organization.• Ensure ongoing product quality and integrity to include suitable metrics for measuring progress.• Provide product test, evaluation, and inspection.• Facilitate all phases of structural, laminate, mechanical, electrical, and component engineering on new product.• Provide product support to the sales team to ensure product will meet the customer requirements.• Provide day to day manufacturing engineering support to all areas of operations.• Proper interdepartmental communications.• Other Responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

Knowledge/Education• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field preferred • Master’s Degree a plusSkills/Experience • Minimum 3+ years experience in product management and in the development of new technologies for the composites industry.• Leadership experience in developing new technology for the market place.• Must have excellent verbal, written, and communication skills, as well as experience communication with technical and cross-functional teams.• Strong supervisory skills and experience.• Expertise with urethane foams a plus.• CAD Analysis.
