SPM - KOH

The Senior Product Manager will manage a $50M business. He/She is also responsible for planning and managing the company’s short-and long-range marketing programs.  The SPM is also responsible for developing marketing plans and programs in support of group profit objectives to include sales forecasts, customer marketing programs, pricing, and product line development plans.

This role will provide senior management with information and recommendations on the most profitable strategies for the business via annual marketing plan presentations and longer-term business plans. He/She will manage product prices and terms of sale as well as monitor current and future customer and consumer needs.  The SPM will provide market research with market demand projections to guide the preparation of forecasts as well as work with operations to ensure needed product supply at the lowest possible product cost while still maintaining quality standards.

He/She will work in close contact with advertising to develop promotional plans, advertising campaigns, catalogs, brochures, displays, exhibits, and other support materials.  This role will create, execute, and maintain a product strategy to guide new product development efforts for each product line as well as be responsible for coordinating the new product development process across all functional areas.  Other competencies associated with primary function and scope are as follows:

Candidate Profile: proven results in past Sales / Marketing / Channel roles in the consumer durables/industrial market (8 yrs + exp) proven abilities to drive execution of  product development plans / product “life-cycle” management experience demonstrated track record of strategic plan development / implementation – leading to market share gains strong NPD experience – including product development through commercialization stages solid track record in leading channel / product research efforts – industry / customers /consumer based strong leadership skills / ability to influence functions in a matrix organization – strong cross-functional support past high level of goal orientation / aggressive stretch minded approach / willing to take risks strong communication skills / presentation skills / leadership skills / strong creativity demonstrated experience in P&L management (1yr +) proven experience in supporting the engineering / product development / key account support  process willingness to drive the business at both the strategic and tactical level past “design / experiential” user Marketing experience a plus Bachelor’s degree – Marketing or related field / MBA a plus
