Maintenance Super/Facilities Eng. M02
Major Purpose of Position:
Under general supervision of the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Reliability Engineer,
process and track work orders in the Maintenance Management System (MP2, EAM, etc.); coordinate repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance work for machine tools, cranes, welders, fabrication equipment, facilities and grounds and other equipment as required; provide general support to the Maintenance Department to maximize output of production operations in a safe and productive atmosphere. Provide technical guidance in the areas of preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM and lean maintenance principles.
Job Functions:
* Receive and verify requests for maintenance work; initiate, prepare and distribute work orders to appropriate maintenance supervisors and other maintenance employees as needed for both internal and external maintenance and repair services; schedule contractors and vendors in coordination with the maintenance supervisors; assist the Project Engineer on miscellaneous repair/rebuild projects as required.
* Monitor timeliness of completion of work orders assigned to maintenance including safety work orders, PM's, breakdowns and Predictive Maintenance.
* Schedule and lead the maintenance crafts on performing preventive and predictive tasks such as machine alignments, vibration analysis, thermal analysis, oil sampling, etc.; schedule appropriate corrective actions as necessary. On a rotating basis, supervise hourly maintenance personnel on occasional weekends, or if the normal supervisor is absent.
* Perform assigned safety inspections of buildings, grounds and equipment to identify repair and maintenance concerns and safety hazards; Audit the maintenance department and take corrective action on problems with Lock-out/Tag-out, Confined Space, PPE, Fall Protection and other related maintenance safety programs.
* Assist in the implementation of TPM throughout the facilities; Drive continuous improvement, utilizing root cause analysis tools.
* Provide daily/weekly/monthly metrics for past due work orders, past due PM's, Mean Time Between Failure, Mean Time To Repair, OEE, 5S audits, etc.
* Perform other duties as required.
Type and Length of Experience:
Associate/Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering; completion of a skilled trade's apprenticeship and minimum 10 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Knowledge requirements
* Advanced maintenance of machines, cranes, ovens, welders, and other equipment.
* Required safety programs for a manufacturing business (PPE, LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, etc.
* Total Productive maintenance (TPM), 5S, and Root Cause Analysis techniques.
* Precision machine alignment techniques (lasers, cylinders, parallels, squares, etc.).
* Operate computers; Maintenance Management software (MP2, EAM), Excel, Word, etc.
