We currently are seeking a Market Development Manager for the rail industry. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in working with a manufacturer servicing customers in the rolling stock and/or infrastructure segments.
Although it is preferable that this position operates from HellermannTyton’s corporate headquarters in Milwaukee, it is not a requirement. For the right candidate, this position can work from a home office.
Core Responsibilities
In conjunction with global teams, develop strategic plans to increase HellermannTyton's presence in the North American rail market ln accordance with the strategic and market plans, research, qualify, and move forward programs which deliver unique product sets and programs which are attractive to both rolling stock and transport infrastructure customers With the support of HellermannTyton's global product database and thorough market analysis, lead and execute new product development to fulfill rail market needs for the North America Drive specification of HellermannTyton products with key customers Interface with HellermannTyton sales team on a continual basis to ensure execution of strategy and coordinate global channels to market Develop core corporate positioning and work with marketing communications team to produce marketing deliverables to support positioning and marketing plans. Will be the lead person for content development per target audience Participate on industry related committees. Ensure HellermannTyton has the right specifications to enable new business Evaluate and monitor competitive landscape in Americas and globally Develop customer service and technical support mechanisms which make it easy for our customers to do business with HellermannTyton Develop and implement training programs, as required, for internal and external audiences
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required Five plus years experience with a manufacturer who services rail customers. Proven experience in growing product lines and product line extensions and creating and analyzing programs which will increase sales. Aptitude and experience in conducting project and program analyses and monitoring ROI goals and status. Demonstrated ability to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Sales and/or engineering experience a plus. Must have worked on continual basis with sales force, if no direct sales experience. Technical aptitude to enable productive engineering conversations and specifications Proficient at creating and giving high level presentations Excellent verbal, written, organizational skills with good leadership skills Highly proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience using CRM systems preferred. Domestic and international travel required (50%)
