Life-Cycle Manager - Reliability Engineer

Ensure that Bucyrus underground life-cycle management (LCM) and customer issue resolution (CIR) processes are in line with group-wide strategies and targets to achieve optimum sales retention and EBITDA profit.

Job Functions:

1. Initiate improvement of product reliability, customer satisfaction and warranties by monitoring and analyzing equipment reliability trends and facilitating CIR teams, monitoring corrective action with Engineering Competency Centers and escalation of key outstanding issues to senior management
2. Develop and assist line managers to implement the systems and processes required to successfully manage pay by performance contracts.
3. Lead the regions with the development and implementation of group-wide LCM/CIR processes, guidelines and associated key performance indicator systems.
4. Initiate and maintain evaluation process of lost opportunities and new sales based upon total life cycle income, to ensure growth in customer service.
5. Initiation and coordination of the development of new services (e.g., remote monitoring, service-packaging).
6. Developing a culture of LCM/CIR excellence and continuous improvement via on site facilitation of best-practice and know-how sharing within the regions.
7. Monitoring of advances and changes within the industry and of new and existing LCM/CIR technology and applications and integrate as appropriate.
8. Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.


Education and Experience:
Degree in Reliability Engineering or Engineering related field with 4 - 7 years of experience in similar field. Demonstrated ability in a complex environment and experience with mining / heavy equipment mandatory.

Special Position Requirements:
Requirement to travel international each quarter.
