Systems Engineer
Systems Engineer Provide support services to the CJIS Operations Management Unit supporting coordination with support project teams on development of a data center realignment plan. Produce and edit documentation for the Data Center Realignment Project. The documents produced shall be according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.Develop and incorporate Documentation Change Notices, Specification Change Notices, and update government documents as necessary.Determine, gather, and organize subject material so that it can be published properly.Maintain records and file program documents, including revisions.Provide systems engineering support for the Data Center Realignment Project. Create Data Center Realignment documetation as needed. In support of the FBI's engineering and review processes, support technical activities, including project reviews. Provide Requirements and Specifications Development and Design Services. Perform systems engineering support activities to ensure a smooth movement of hardware consistent with the data center floor plan. These activities include, but are not limited to:-- Evaluate all hardware in use in the data center for environmental requirements.-- analyze system information requirements and design specifications using current state of the art methodologies for the implementation of industry standards and best practices in data center management, data center security practicies, floor planning, and out year planning, and advise the OMU on recommded requirements and design concepts.-- apply systems engineering principles and techniques to develop complex specifications and procedures.-- analyze and comment on contractor- and FBI-developed designs, specifications, standards, and technical documentation.-- advise on data center 'green' technologies and trends that could be utilized by the data center.-- participate in program and design reviews conducted by the contractor and TRB's.-- advise management on the validity of cost estimates for costs associated with hardware moves and recertification.-- review, assess, and provide comments on system/program requirements for ambiguity and testability.-- conduct product integrity activities such as the development of updates to system design, requirements, test, security, and operations and maintenance documentation-- provide engineering technical support as directed to include planning support.-- assist in the creation of LCMD required documetation.-- assist in the developing, implementing, and maintaining required documents such as SOPs, policy and procedural documentation and an integrated master schedule.-- support the evaluation, selection, implementation, training, and operation of a data center computional fluid dynamics model.REQUIRED EXPERIENCEActive Top Secret ClearanceHW EngineeringCost EstimatingIT Technical ArchitecturesFluid Dynamics ModelingProject Management Founded in 1976, CGI Group Inc. is one of the largest independent information technology and business process services firms in the world.
