For more information, visit www.forrester.com Job Title: Federal Account Manager, selling to IT ProfessionalsFLSA Status: ExemptLocation: McLean, VADescription: This sales position focuses on the US Civilian and Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. You will build relationships, drive client satisfaction, and focus on selling additional products and services. You also will be rewarded for new prospect and enrichment sales. Roughly 20% to 30% of your time will be spent on travel within your assigned territory from your base in McLean, VA.Responsibilities:* Prospect and close Civilian and DoD government agencies.* Nurture and develop existing clients. * Generate incremental revenues from existing clients by selling additional Forrester products and services and proactively pursuing executive-level relationships. * Efficiently manage time to focus on activities that grow revenue and ensure client satisfaction.* Maintain an appropriate incremental sales pipeline to achieve account enrichment goals.* Forecast accurately.* Maintain quality relationships to retain clients.* Use analytical skills to understand our clients' changing business and technology issues and needs.* Work strategically to develop and execute account plans that position Forrester as a strategic resource.* Communicate professionally to both internal and external audiences.Requirements:* B.S./B.A. or equivalent experience.* Five or more years of proven success in direct sales or successful consultative or solution selling in the high-tech or professional services industries.* Proven experience in managing client relationships, achieving revenue goals, and managing personal sales strategies in the government sector.* Effective organization and time management skills.* Team player.* Fast learner and at ease with technology.Forrester Research is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer; M/F/D/V are especially encouraged to apply.
