ICF is currently seeking a Development Manager to work within our Information Technology group. The Development Manager will manage a team of developers responsible for the Enterprise's applications. This position will set and implement policies and procedures related to application development methodologies and will work in conjunction with the Director of Quality Assurance to ensure the appropriate level of quality in releases. The successful candidate will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This position is located in Fairfax, VA. Responsibilities:Manages a staff of developers to ensure the delivery of applications across multiple platforms with both COTS and custom developed applications Implements tools, procedures, and policies necessary to ensure quality development, versioning, release management, and development standards Mentors staff in the management, development and the appropriate utilization of development tools Works with project teams to implement applications, services, and enhancement on existing applications Maintains application documentation and works with training to maintain up to date training assetsRequirements:College degree in IT, MIS, technology, or related 8+ years of experience working in an IT environment developing applications, with at least 5 years managing staff Must be capable of communicating verbally and through written documentation Familiar with MS Office, development languages such as .NET, SDLC, COTS products (Costpoint or PeopleSoft) and development tools (Visual Source Safe) Capable of working with minimal supervision and to motivate teams to deliver tasks on time and on budget Have a wide degree of creativity and latitudeICF International offers an excellent benefits package and competitive salary.
