Business Process Consultant

Business Process Consultants at Dominion Digital are responsible for managing, executing and delivering results on-time and on-budget in a dynamic, technology-oriented environment. The Business Process Consultant must leverage prior experience to frame business problems, analyze alternatives, and design business and technology solutions.

 

The position requires knowledge and experience using formal methodologies and structured analysis techniques. Effective leadership and team interaction skills are a must, including the ability to plan and organize work for self, the ability to make formal and informal presentations, and the ability to communicate effectively in business terms. The position requires a strong grasp of IT industry trends and their applicability to business processes.

 

ResponsibilitiesParticipate in business process and technology initiatives to improve business performancePerform process and organizational modeling and analysisServe as a liaison between multiple cross-functional areasBuild relationships with internal and external clients leveraging communication and presentation skillsConduct analysis of business issues and challengesAnalyze complex scenariosDefine business problems and drive solution prioritizationAssist in outlining and defining business requirements, objectives and prioritiesConduct data query and spreadsheet-based quantitative analysisParticipate in defining solutions to solve complex, multi-disciplinary business problems with long-term business implicationsSuccessfully assist with complex organizational change



Minimum QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and process redesign skillsFamiliarity with business analysis and requirements management methodologiesExperience applying technology concepts to business needsAbility to identify and analyze operational improvements using quantitative techniquesExperience developing and managing requirements and process flows 

Preferred QualificationsAbility to realize business value using Six Sigma or Lean methodologiesOne to three years of experience with one of the national consulting firms Experience modeling business processes using BPM tools such as Chordiant, Aris, SigmaFlow or ProVisionExperience analyzing business processes using discrete event simulation



Education/ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field of study, with at least one year of experience in consulting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
