Associate Manager, Web Producer/Developer

The Web Producer/Developer will produce content by using their proficient skills as a producer/developer, i.e., knowledge of online communications disciplines with ability to conceptualize, assemble project assets, manage and implement compelling web content. Responsibilities: * Identifies, gathers, develops and manages diverse content (project assets like images, textual manuscripts, audio, video, scripting) along with technical requirements and site architecture diagrams, to produce accessible, standards-compliant web sites on schedule and budget. * Meets with clients and manages production schedules for assigned projects in collaboration with Supervisor and team of producers, designers and programmers. Supports other web site design, development and maintenance projects. * Uses both a content management system (CMS) and hand-coding HTML to develop web pages through graphical or command line interfaces. * Assesses compliance with applicable accessibility standards and determines necessary measures for remediating. * Migrates content from legacy sites to CMS based pages/sites. * Documents and otherwise ensures knowledge transfer of all creative web solutions.

* Bachelors degree (or higher) inGraphic Arts, Computer Science, Communications or related field required. * Minimum of two years experience in a professional web production environment * Solid knowledge of standards-compliant XHTML, CSS, XML/XSLT/RSS, web development scripting languages (like PHP), and demonstrated ability to hand-code HTML and CSS * Knowledge of content management principals, ability to build and edit templates within a CMS environment. * Image editing/optimization experience * Ability to develop and test web content constructed with W3C web stands-compliant code and techniques for cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility * Documented success in web page production with referenced URLs * Demonstrated ability to creatively adapt to continuously changing technology and communications needs * Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Web development and content management tools. * Knowledge of best practices to maximize site usability and interactivity. * Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills * Demonstrated project management skills * Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks and priorities Strongly Desired: * Experience producing multimedia and FLASH for the web * Experience customizing blogging platforms * Experience working with: * Databases * Web services * Syndication * Tagging * Search engine optimization
