The company provides customers access to 5 billion searchable documents from more than 35,000 legal, news and business sources.Responsibilities You will be responsible for configuration management, software builds, version control system maintenance, and release coordination. This will require partnering and communicating with Development, QA, Operations and other groups. You will also be responsible for creating, documenting, and implementing procedures related to builds and deployments. You will create and maintain automated build systems, integrate build/test/release processes, and control deployments to multiple environments. There will be a strong emphasis on maintaining branches, supporting parallel development, automation, and tracking all changes within multiplebranches.Qualifications 1. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in an applicable field and a minimum of 7 to 10 years experience managing the configuration and release process of complex applications 2. Configuration management and source control tools such as Subversion, ClearCase, Perforce, PVCS, VSS, CVS, etc. 3. Experience managing application software baselines, including labeling, branching, versioning, building Make files and ANT/Maven scripts, etc. 4. Writing scripts (UNIX/Windows shell scripts, Python) to automate the build process and other CM related processes. 5. Working with databases such as SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL 6. Working with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PHP and UNIX-based programming 7. Troubleshooting environment configuration issues 8. Tracing and developing component maps of systems and environments 9. Competent Windows application user skills: Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 10. Experience building complex applications for deployment on Windows and various UNIX systems. 11. Familiarity with common UNIX distributions (Linux/Solaris/HPUX/AIX) including basic administration. 12. Experience integrating third-party commercial and open-source libraries into application builds. 13. Candidates should be self-motivated, flexible, and have good communication skills. 14. Candidates should be creative problem solvers with a passion for technology. 15. Have the ability to articulate and champion release engineering best practices. 16. Experience deploying and maintaining open source tools (Subversion, Ant, Maven, Tinderbox, Bugzilla, Apache, etc) would be helpful. 17. Disaster recovery/business continuity management experience 18. Experience with Windows MSI and web technologies such as Apache, Lighttpd, IIS 19. Computer lab management/administration experience 20. Familiarity with SQL and XML would be helpful. 21.
