WEB PROJECT COORDINATOR
Job Summary: The incumbent, who will report to the Director for Internet Programs, serves as the point of contact for ACC staff and members regarding the daily activities of ACC’s network of Web sites, including ongoing maintenance, enhancements and developments. She/he assists the Director of Internet Programs with online strategies and projects for all ACC’s Internet and Extranet Programs. Job Description: Responsible for updates and maintenance of various internal/external websites through the use of content management system and MS SharePoint and works in conjunction with staff content owners Coordinates Internet program activities to ensure that all projects stay within scope, schedule and budget requirements Provides technical support to member and staff for Web page development and deployment Works with ACC stakeholders to develop and coordinate new Web site launches and site redesigns Ensures that Web sites work properly, diagnoses and resolves problems with technical support as appropriate Serve as liaison with Information Technology (IT) staff that provide ACC’s Extranet/Intranet services Coordinate with IT to set up/renew/hosting of domains and DNS management Keep current with emerging web technologies through relevant blogs, listservs, and events Participates in strategic planning for the ACC’s family of Web sites Works with legal department to ensure that site content is trademarked and claims have proper documentation Job Requirements: Three years of Web project coordination and Web-related experience Demonstrate ability to design and maintain Web pages and experience with content management systems and MS SharePoint Proficient in HTML/CSS, PhotoShop, Flash, JavaScript, Adobe Acrobat, and various media players
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge in online communications, databases, and social networking applications Knowledge of Web standards, usability practices, current browser technology and search engine optimizations Skill in organizing and prioritizing of work and following assignments through to completion Ability to test and troubleshoot Web application and developments Proficient with the Windows operating environment and applicatioNs, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills Ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and outside contacts Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment Education/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study or equivalent experience in IT environment required
